Windows Phone 7 in Verizon Stores “this holiday season”

 

 

Thanks for Engadget for spotting this one, thew Windows Phone team have been Twittering about Windows Phone 7 handsets arriving at Verizon this holiday season with more arriving in early 2011.

The tweet, which you can see below was posted a couple of days ago.  There has been the expected disappointment from many people that their favoured handset isn’t (not yet anyway) available on their own network.  Only time will tell if this opens up but networks are fond of getting exclusive access to particular handsets.

The good news though is that the launch is not like the early iPhone availability where it was a single network only as this would not only have annoyed consumers, but would also have damaged Microsoft’s chances in the smartphone arena.
So we can look forward to Windows Phone coming very soon to more networks across the US and across the world.
