How to Make Flowchart in MS Word 2007
Create flowchart shape
To create flowchart shape open your word document and click on “Insert” on the ribbon then click “Shapes” under Illustration group. Under the “Shapes” menu you can see different types of shapes. Select a shape and drag it in your page.Create all shapes as per your flowchart requirement.
Create connecting arrow
In shapes option there are several types of arrow. Select a closeable arrow and connect all the shapes with connecting arrow.
Add text
To add a text in flowchart shapes, right click on the shape and select “Add Text”. Now type a text in your flowchart shape.
Add color and 3-D effect in flowchart shapes
To spice up your flowchart you can add a color and 3-D effect in your flowchart shapes.
To add a color click on “Format” in the Ribbon and select a matched color from “Text Box Style” group.
To add 3-D effect click on “3-D Effect” and chose a suitable effect for your flowchart.
To make a professional look of your flowchart you can add some pre-designed shapes from Smartart.Go to “insert” then click on “Smartart” and chose a design and hit on “OK”.
Add background color
To highlight the flowchart add a background color in your flowchart page.Click on “page Layout” option on the ribbon select “Page Color” under Page Background group and chose a suitable background color for your flowchart.
