According to Microsoft, Windows Phone 7 Series mobile phones will hit the markets by the end of this year. Right now there are many confusions and rumors exit in the minds of Windows Phone users that either their Windows based devices which they already have will be capable to getting an upgrade to the new coming Windows Phone OS or not? As few days back by a Microsoft official said that even HTC HD2 will not get upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 which is really a dishearten news.
But you folks do not need to be worry because the developers community at XDA is doing their best and right now they have released a leaked Windows Phone 7 Series ROM which is available for download.
This leaked ROM is extracted from emulator image of Windows 7 OS which was provided by Microsoft but right now this is not recommended to port this leaked ROM to your Windows Phone instead it just works over PCs.
So, this is the first step by XDA developers towards Windows 7 Phone Series and as there is an interval of 8 months in the launch of official WM7 so definitely XDA has a plenty of time to determine their task in depth.
