Nokia & Intel Announced MeeGO Mobile OS at MWC 2010

Nokia and Intel has announced a new mobile phone operating system in a press conference at MWC 2010 event. Both the companies are going to combine the best features of their Linux based Mobile OSes Maemo and Moblin in a single core open source OS which is called MeeGO.

It seems that both companies decided to put their combine efforts towards creating a new mobile OS because individually their mobile OSes have not comparison with the other big giants of mobile industry including Microsoft’s Windows Mobile, Google Android and Apple iPhone OS.
MeeGO devices will be rolled out by the end of this year as LG has announced GW990 MeeGO based phone at Mobile World Congress.
So, we have to wait for the results of Nokia’s and Intel’s teaming up until mobile companies make available the MeeGO OS based mobile phones in market.
