The reasons behind this eBooks churn out is that there are many books available in free and out of copyrights, so these factors reduce the development cost for the eBook apps and if once an eBook engine is created it could be used for other books just by doing some minor changes, whereas for the gaming apps mostly the developers have to work from the scratch and in this sense the game development requires more cost.
Right now approximately the ratio of free eBooks apps with the paid ones is 10 to 1 as compare to the games where the paid ones outstrip free game apps over 2 to 1.
All of these free eBooks apps will be available for iPad device, and as you know that Apple has announced iPad release date 3rd April. Now, the point here is that Apple will also introduce its own eBook reader which is iBook and according to Apple’s startegy the iPad user would use one e-reader at a time on its device.
So, until iPad releases we have to see that what will be the reason which makes the Apple’s iBook reader distinctive than other available free eBooks and how it will enforce iPad owners to prefer Apple’s iBook over the developers eBooks apps.
