Before the official launch of iPhone OS 4.0 and iPhone 4G which is expected at Worldwide Developers Conference 2010, AppleInsider has opened up the Apple’s plan to bring multitasking to iPhone OS 4.0.
As all iPhone owners know this issue that their device is not completely capable to run multiple applications whereas the jail-broken iPhone can do that. It means that iPhone OS has the hidden features for multitasking which are restricted by Apple itself maybe because of some security issues. But now the Apple is going to empower the most demanding iPhone with multitasking which will make this possible for users to run different apps simultaneously.
The other reason to include multitasking to iPhone OS 4.0 could be that the rival webOS supports multitasking feature so maybe to hold its position on top in mobile market, Apple decided to include this feature to the next generation of iPhone.
