Download Google Reader Notifier QT

We wrote before about Desktop Google Reader application which allows users to access RSS feeds directly from their desktop but that application is available only for Windows users. So, today we bring another handy app Google Reader Notifier QT which is a cross-platform app and works for Windows, Mac and Unix systems.
Google Reader Notifier QT is a portable app which notifies users about the new updates of Reader, and in this way they do not always require to login to Google Reader page to check for new updates.
To use Google Reader Notifier QT, just download your required version according to your system and run it. The following Settings window will display. Here enter your Gmail address and click ok, it will also ask for password so provide password and that’s all.

Google Reader Notifier QT icon will reside in system tray and notifies about the new and unread feeds after a specific interval of time which you may set in above window by navigating to Checking tab.

The only bad thing about this application is that it does not show the system tray icon because of transparency. But if you want to make change in its settings, or to check the new feeds right now etc. then right click on its transparent system tray icon and select the option of your choice.
