Microsoft Acknowledges Y2K16 Bug

On January 1st 2010 Y2K16 Bug was discovered by several smart phone users and now it is also acknowledged by Microsoft itself for Windows Mobile Phone. The Y2K16 bug targets Windows mobile phones and also non-Windows devices including HTC and LG handsets.

This speculation is also in the air that Y2K16 bug is not only affecting mobile phones but its also targeting other devices. Anyhow, soon Microsoft will release an official CAB to resolve the issue of Y2K16, until that there is an un-official CAB file is rolled out by some third-party developers and you may download that from the following integrated link.

Here is Microsoft’s statement on Y2K16 bug:

“Microsoft is aware of reports that phone messages received after 1/1/2010 may be dated 2016. These reports have not yet resulted in widespread customer inquiries; however, we are working closely with our manufacturing and mobile operator partners to investigate the cause and correct the issue as appropriate.”
