Google Sold 20,000 Nexus Ones in First Week

Last week Google has rolled out the Nexus One mobile phone and according to Google’s mobile boss Andy Rubin Google will be happy to sell about 150,000 Nexus One mobile phone devices.

Now Google Nexus One spent 1 week in market and according to the guesstimates of analytic firm Flurry which has contacts with more than 10,000 apps developers of iPhone and Android platforms, until now Google sold out only about 20,000 Nexus Ones.

They also estimate that the Nexus One was outsold by Droid by more than 12 times, myTouch 3G by 3 times and iPhone 3GS by 80 times.

Here is a part of Flurry’s review on Nexus One first week sale:

“To estimate first week sales totals for the Nexus One, myTouch 3G, Droid and iPhone 3GS, Flurry detected new handsets within its system, and then made adjustments to account for varying levels of Flurry application penetration by handset. Flurry additionally crosschecked its estimates against Apple actual sales, released for iPhone 3GS, which totaled more than one million units over the three days, June 19 – 21, 2009.”

Nexus One is highly anticipated device and Google is selling it in an innovative way as they directly sell it to the customers through Nexus One official web site but as Google itself says that not so much effort and money is spent for the marketing and sales of Nexus One.

So our point of view is this if Google adapts the combination of marketing and sales tools for Nexus One then probably the first week Nexus One’s sale differ then this calculated figure which is provided by Flurry now.
